One nice feature of the JBuilder/Together products is that they combine the fields and their getter/setter in one entry in a dedicated properties section of the class. Would it be difficult to implement this?

It is already supported. But it is displayed in an attribute compartment with a "P" symbol in the icon. This feature can be disabled/enabled via Prefernces of class diagram "Show Properties".
